FlashAlert
The Sherwood School District uses an internet-based system for delivering changes in the school schedule, such as snow closures or delayed starts. Please register to receive these messages to your home or office email and/or cell phone by text message. This is a free service. Sign onto www.FlashAlert.net and follow the online instructions to register under Washington County. All Portland news channels will be running school closure information due to weather, also. |
Emergency Preparedness
Archer Glen is committed to the safety in the school environment. Fire Drills and Bus Evacuation Drills are practiced at Archer Glen annually, as is a Lock In Drill. Archer Glen will practice our Lock-In Drill with all students, staff and volunteers. A Lock-In Drill involves securing all interior and exterior doors, moving students to a place of concealment, and remaining in place until the drill concludes. If you are in the building at this time, please practice with us. Please note that there is no admittance to nor exiting from the school during this drill.
If you are around campus during one of the drills, please do not be alarmed by the increased police presence.
If you are a visitor in the building during any of our drills, we need you to participate with us; please follow the directions given by our staff. If you arrive during a drill, you will not be allowed to enter and students will not be allowed to exit until the drill concludes. Please plan ahead if you need to drop off or pick up your student during the day of a drill.
